New Contract: The Forum, Norwich

Monday 16 September marked the commencement date of our highly regarded contract and partnership with The Forum building in Norwich city centre. The Forum is one of the most successful Millennium Projects in the UK, opened in November 2001 and has become an iconic landmark and meeting place in the historic centre of Norwich.

“Partnering with Dardan for security provision gives The Forum proven expertise and knowledge. Our visitors will soon notice some new friendly faces on hand to advise and assist during their visit.”

Teresa Wood, Head of Estates, The Forum Trust

The Forum is part of Norwich 12, a collection of notable buildings in Norwich spanning the Norman, medieval, Georgian, Victorian and modern eras, and is visited by more than 2.5 million people every year. The building is home to the Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library, the local Tourist Information Centre, and the BBC East offices and studios, where the regional television news bulletin BBC Look East and local radio station BBC Radio Norfolk are based. It has a wide-ranging mix of free exhibitions, events, activities, catering, shopping and learning opportunities for all.

“Dardan Security are extremely pleased to be awarded the security contract for The Forum building which is such an iconic structure in the heart of Norwich city centre. Built on the site of the previous Norwich Library which burnt down in 1994, the Forum was designed by Michael Hopkins & Partners and built as a millennium project for the East of England.”
