The Balmoral Docks at Peel Ports, Great Yarmouth

The widely respected Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Balmoral made its maiden call last week at the East Anglian port of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. This was part of its 11-night Mystery Cruise, which set sail from the Port of Tyne, Newcastle.

The Mayor of the Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Councillor Michael Jeal was on hand wearing the town’s Chains of Office. Alongside him was the Mayoress, his wife Paula to greet guest as they disembarked the ship for tours to Norwich and buses into town for nearby attractions.

Dardan was requested to provide a combination of internal and concierge security throughout this cruise line’s docking. Dardan had a team of 5 for the operation, all going above and beyond their call of duty.

The cruise vessel days are never the easiest as they are long and [you are] constantly outside and on your feet. However, as the passengers disembarked and returned, your team maintained enthusiasm until the very end. It was also noted that the team on the quayside went above the beyond by assisting our operatives with moving the pedestrian guard rails. Again this was very much appreciated by all involved. ”
