‘Break the Bias’ on International Womens Day

Imagine a gender equal world.

A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

A world where difference is valued and celebrated.

Together we can forge women’s equality.

Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.

On the 8th March 2022, businesses and communities have come together for International Womens Day (IWD). This day is there to raise awareness of gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping both in the workplace and in everyday life.

Each IWD has a theme and for 2022, the theme is #BreakTheBias.

Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.

Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field.

Are you in? Will you actively call out gender bias, discrimination and stereotyping each time you see it?

As an organisation filled with exceptional females from frontline to senior management, we believe that we are heading in the right direction, but there is still so much more we can do.

Equality, diversity and inclusivity are at the top of our agenda and will remain there until our workplaces are environments where women can thrive. We would love to hear your suggestions of what we can do to be more inclusive and encourage more females into our industry.
