Spreading kindness on Social Media Kindness Day

Today is Social Media Kindness Day. This day was created to make all Social Media platforms a kinder place as opposed for it to be somewhere anger and hate breeds.

Every time we use social media, we leave an imprint. Social Media Kindness Day is encouraging for all those imprints to be kind! It was also created in memory of the late TV presenter Caroline Flack, being held on what would have been her birthday – 9th November.

Social media is increasingly becoming a large part of our daily lives and we need to make it a kinder place as opposed for it to be somewhere anger and hate breeds.

Most people would never leave the nasty remarks they do on social media to a persons face. This is because they would be able to see the hurt caused by those words.

Social media should be a place where people can socialise, network, do business and ‘live their best life’ without fear or negativity.

We hope by raising awareness of this special day that we are playing our part in making social media a kinder place to be for all. This means, if we see unkindness, we should kindly point it out rather than scroll on by and let it magnify. Then we should check on the person receiving the unkindness to make sure they’re okay.

Remember, whatever you choose to be, #bekind
